Help us review the existing and define the next generation, on demand scalable video transcription platform. We at vooPlayer offer video transcription service as part of core product. Users upload videos and they are transcoded to web optimized and secured formats.
Files are sent to a dedicated bare metal machine where accompanying messages queue them in RabbitMQ. Recently we've been getting a large influx of new users and with them a lot of new videos surpassing our capacities of limited number of cores queuing up files sometimes longer than 24 hours and are hence looking at defining a solution which would be scalable on demand, meaning we could increase workers / consumers based on setup monitoring rules to balance cost and efficacy.
Unfortunately the engineer who set up everything is not with our team any longer and is not able to help us understand how everything is set up. Hence, we need someone with experience in managing and developing similar systems in order to:
1. Review and improve the existing queue and resource management
2. Based on the review, define a scalable solution balacing cost and efficacy
