I'm looking for an experienced front end developer to work on a WordPress site.
You'll primarily be developing new custom functionality on the site and continue to extend and expand our current functionality.
So, a good understanding of the developing on Wordpress is, naturally, important.
Beyond these core requirements, here are a few aspects that are a plus (but not strictly required):
- experience with optimizing the front-end performance of a site
- please make the first word of your application: 'Generics' - so that I know you read through the description carefully
- some Linux, DevOps experience, in understanding how Wordpress actually runs
- some testing experience in PHP/Wordpress, to write automated test for the functionality you're developing
We'll get started with a quick evaluation engagement (paid, of course), to do a couple of small implementations on our codebase. The focus is on the technical quality of the code, but also implementation speed, as well as, of course, good communication.
Then, we'll go forward with a longer-term engagement.
