We are looking for someone with experience in ServiceMax that can help with odds and ends in our system as needed. The goal is to find all triggers for Work Order creation. We did an exploration with Salesforce Advanced Code Searcher, but we were not able to find the triggers. We have an assumption that triggers might be hidden in ServiceMax Managed packages.
This work is to be done on an hourly basis. A developer with deep experience (3+ years) in ServiceMax with a strong portfolio of work is required. We need someone comfortable with coding in the system. While there will be sporadic administrative needs, we are not looking for just an administrator. We need someone who is able to provide quick and clear communications both written and verbally, preferably with English as a first language.
Some of the tasks that are currently needed or will be needed in the future include:
- Modifying documents generated in the system to make them much more aesthetic and functional than the current documents (quotes, PO's, service tickets, etc.)
- Develop new complex reports
- Develop dashboards
- Automation of tasks
- Rules
- Troubleshoot sporadic system errors
- Develop new functionality
- Modify existing functionality to enhance operations
- Potentially help bring a customer community online
- Help with iPad ServiceMax configuration for our field technicians
- Roll out version upgrades
- Suggest further enhancements that we may benefit from
We are using Power BI for data visualization. We integrated Salesforce data with the Power BI Desktop, but we need your help with the data integration between Salesforce and Power BI Server. We do have a sandbox environment in place. We also have a consultant that we worked with to initially deliver the system that we will still do sporadic work with. They are however scaled a bit too large for us, so we are looking for someone who can be more responsive that we can directly interface with to get work done and get a small amount of education on developing in the platform. We only have 25 users, so we are a small company with not a huge budget to work with. Hourly rates will be a factor in determining who is hired, but strength of portfolio and great communication will be valued over rates as long as the rates are competitive with other like bidders.
At this point we are open to multiple developers working in our system, so we may hire more than one. If someone is extremely talented in reports/document generation/dashboards but not as strong in some of the other aspects, we will absolutely consider hiring a developer for just that portion of the work and someone else who is better at the programming part to just write code.
