Required Logo Design freelancer for Logo Redesign job

Hi, don't be put off by the budget we just put a random figure and are happy to discuss. What we want are three things in the first instance:

1. Your frank opinion of our current logo
2. What if any small changes would you make to improve it
3. If you had totally free hands to create the logo what would you create.

The name we can't change, we are Octon and the mste has a meaning to us (see about us section of website). Being an outdoor/dive watch brand, we liked the anchor look, and also looking like there is 8 and 9 in there. We are not saying it has to be this way, but just so you are aware how we got to this logo in the first place.

If we like your thinking and rough sketches/outline we could move forwards with full job.
