Python Software engineer needed for AI project

Required skills:

• Good experience with Python (minimum 3 years)
  
• Comfortable manipulating large amounts of data in various forms (csv files, panda dataframe, NumPy array, dictionaries, etc...) with Python
  
• Good experience with the NumPy library in Python, especially manipulating vectors (1D), matrices (2D) and tensors (3+D)
  
• Good written and oral communication skills in English and/or French

Would be a plus :

• Followed and passed a Machine Learning course
  
• Knows how to use Pytorch or TensorFlow
  
• Bilingual French / English

Our company :
We built tools that will help customers in search for jewelry finding the right one. These tools include a profiling questionnaire with a recommendation algorithm, a visual match (upload picture of grandmother ring and see the jewelry piece that will match within our catalogue), a social platform where customers can receive advice either from friends/family or from professionals.

Missions :

• Image / Facial recognition tool : from uploaded picture of the customer, recognize hair color, skin color, eye color...
  
• If enough data available soon enough, improve the recommendation algorithm with machine learning and/or deep learning.

Involvement :
Part time (5-10 hours a week), duration 3 to 6 months.

The missions will be supervised by a MILA doctorate : weekly phone meeting and technical support when necessary. Regular reporting to the two founders.
