Digitalization of manual schedule board in SME manufacturing firm

We are a 10 pax strong team that work in a multi-processes workshop in Kallang. Unlike a conventional firm that practice top-down communication, we practice a bottom up system where operators dictate the time needed to complete their specific tasks listed on the schedule board daily. A team leader will then assign these tasks according to the operators availability and ability.

The modus operandi of a typical ERP does not work for us.

Below are some features of our schedule board and its use:
1. Time entries ( time needed to complete a task ) are made by 8 operators daily
2. Date entries ( date assigned for that specific task ) are made by a team leader daily
3. Secondary schedule boards are needed for jobs that require more than 6 work days
4. Sales need to view the schedule board at their work stations.

The job is to digitalize the information, and capturing essence of a flexible and scalable system. Any hardware required will NOT be in this quote.

There are other minor features that you would identify on site during our daily brief. Therefore, I am extending my invitation to you for an actual site visit.

As I intend to apply for government grant to finance this job, it is important that you are an approved person where the grant is dispensed.


Depending on the success of this work, future work include creating a platform where customers can have excess to their job status online.

We believe that this developed product will attract many interests in SME due to its flexibility and versatility in managing todays jobs that require short turnaround time.
