We need an Ubuntu 18 desktop expert who knows how to configure programs to run at startup and manage permissions for the programs so they run when normal users (not root) reboot their PCs. First task will be getting a program that boots using the admin account running on reboot from a non-root/non-admin regular user account.

I have a script that under user bob starts up fine when added to the startup activation preferrences in Ubuntu 18. I made sure all files have 777 permissions and under user normal it does not autostart. User normal is normal user and not admin. I cannot get autostart working when user normal is automatically logged in.
