Ruby and/or Perl developers needed as Data Scrapers

Position: Full-time contractor
Schedule: -50 hours per week
Must have - 4 hour overlap with 7am cst - 5pm cst for working hours.
Location: Remote (or Chicago)

Required Skills:
*Ruby and/or Perl (Must be excellent with one of these languages, and somewhat comfortable with -- or willing to learn a bit of -- the other)

Local Labs is an agile data company looking for a new team member to assist with backend data structure for client/user facing web applications.

We are looking for a full-time data specialist who can assist us with web data scraping, data cleansing, data matching, and back-end development for existing web applications as well as custom tools. Candidates who have knowledge of United States geographies, US governments and US elections is a major plus as that is the focus of the data work.

Local Labs is headquartered in Chicago but is comprised of remote team workers from around the world. We use slack to communicate with each-other, pivotal tracker to assign work and manage tasks, and GitHub to manage our codebase.
