DevOps – configure CD on GitLab for Node.js server (Docker, AWS)

We have a simple Node.js server. The code is hosted on GitLab.
Currently, we deploy things manually using npm run build and then transferring the bundle to EC2, stopping the old process, starting a new one to test the concept
But now we need to automate the deployments from production and staging branches to production and staging servers accordingly. We also want to use Docker (which is not configured yet) for our Node.js app. We also need help setting up https (Lets Encrypt, Nginx)
