iOS Engineer

We are looking for our first engineering hire on the Human team. Youll be part of the team that launches our MVP iPhone app that brings top experts in the personal development space (e.g. coaches, therapists, successful entrepreneurs) to help everyday people become their best selves in a lightweight and affordable way. The successful candidate will help shape the architecture and the future of our mobile products. You have experience building products from the ground up and leading mobile engineering teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate persuasively with peers to inspire cooperation
- Mentor, pair, and delegate work to encourage the growth of those around them
- Use fundamental patterns and provide examples for others to follow
- Make well-reasoned decisions that inspires and energizes others
- Become intimately familiar with the systems they build and take pride in writing maintainable code
- Are technical leaders who know how to break down work that others can contribute to confidently
- Help recruit, interview, and generally make Human a great home for developers

QUALIFICATIONS
- You have 5+ years building iOS applications
- You are known for being a great communicator and use various tactics (pictures, metaphors, storytelling etc) to improve understanding
- You are organized and focused when working toward a goal
- You show humility when you are right and have the confidence to admit mistakes
- You are passionate about building products that feel fun and intuitive to use
- You have been a technical lead on a team that built something you are proud of

As for our engineering day to day we strive for clear, easy to understand, maintainable code. We also believe great engineering is not about a list of things we have to do, but rather its a way we have to be about the job to achieve great things.

We work out of a coworking space in San Francisco but we dont require you to work from there so that we can support fully remote engineering hires.
