As Rains FPGA engineer, you will collaborate across multiple teams to develop hardware for next-generation artificial intelligence algorithms.



Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field

- 2+ years of Experience in Xilinx FPGA Hardware environments for design and debug (Vivado, Quartus).

- Experience in FPGA Hardware Platforms and tools (Protium, Zebu, HAPS and/or Xilinx/Altera FPGA based boards)

- Experience with ARM and various DSP ISA

- Experience with VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog

- Knowledge of simulation acceleration and FPGA prototyping

- Familiarity of I/O protocols such as PCIE, Ethernet and USB

- Write software drivers for I/O communication via Ethernet, PCIE and USB

- Understanding of RTL and Synthesis

- Experience with logic simulation: VCS, NCSIM/Verilog

- Programming/scripting experience (C, C++, Perl)

- Experience using Software Debug tools (e.g. gdb)

- Familiarity with lab equipment such as Digital Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Function and pattern generators.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Masters in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

- Experience with audio/video signal processing, DSP, machine learning, or computer vision

- Experience debugging system-level

- Strong programming skills in C/C++ and scripting skills in Python, Tcl, and/or Perl

- Familiarity with PCIe based communication with FPGA based endpoints

- Familiarity with synthesizing designs to various FPGA and Silicon targets.

- Familiarity with both behavioral and synthesizable RTL code

- Familiarity with embedded software development and debugging: GNU/Linux device drivers, firmware, IDE (ex: Eclipse, Visual Studio)

- Technical document writing using Visio, Word, Excel, and / or PowerPoint

- Revision control and document control
