Seeking a collaborative Video Editor with storytelling experience

I make educational videos about UX (user experience) and working in tech on youtube. Currently, my videos are solely talking head but I am seeking a videographer or video editor to collaborate with to incorporate engaging storytelling and other forms of creativity.

This would be a long-term gig with lots of consistent work involving collaboration sessions and editing. After the risks of Covid-19 go away, I hope to actually do video shoots together but I dont expect that to happen for a while so your location does not matter at the moment.

I have a flexible budget to hire an experienced videographer/video editor/filmmaker/video producer. So my ideal hire would be someone with a good grasp of video editing with Premiere and After Effects. And someone who thinks outside of the box and shares ideas instead of taking orders.

Experience with After Effect templates would be great. We can make the workload for most videos to involve editing and then placing and tweaking existing templates. Totally cool with that!

However, Im always trying to push the envelope, so on a monthly or bi-monthly basis, Id want to go all-out and try something new. If youre looking for a gig that will stretch your capabilities and let you be more creative, theres an opportunity for that here.

Here are a few specifics. Starting with After Effects:
* A strong sense of design and composition; knowledge of typography, layout, whitespace, etc
* A strong sense of timing
* Keyframing, easing curves (though we typically use Flow), lights, masking, adjustment layers, parenting, precomping, wiggling
* Photoshop experience (for cutting out images to be used in comps)
* Experience with vector illustration isnt needed, but would be a plus.
Bonus points if youre one of those people who always names comps logically and loves keeping a project organized.

And on the Premiere side:
* A strong sense of timing and flow
* Cutting, rate-stretching, and nesting footage
* Experience with Lumetri Color
* Basic audio skills (placing sfx/music and working with the audio track mixer) - if youre a musician or have experience with sound thats ahugeplus

Lastly, a sense of humor and a bit of geekiness helps - I love adding anime references and making corny jokes and bits into my videos.

Location doesnt matter - you can even be outside the U.S., just as long as you have a fast internet connection and can communicate promptly.
