Web site developer - small JS job

Hi,

Description of the existing solution:

Single web page which contains some JavaScript and is hosted on Squarespace (Business Package so code injection is supported)
User comes to page and enter a string of up to 9 characters in a pre-configured box.
Clicks Get my word button and each of the characters is converted into a group of images. One image represents each letter chosen.
The selection process for images is currently random so if you revisit the site you may never have the same set of images.
Since this is alphabetical there are 26 potential characters and for each characters there are multiple images.

Example:

enter: LOVE
4 images are returned, with each one representing the letters LOVE.
Click Back button and a random set of images are loaded from the characters LOVE.

Requirements

Customer would like to (where possible)

1. Turn off random selection so that the process always starts with the 1st image associated with a character. This assumes that if the user wants to try again the second image will be returned etc so there is a mechanism for cycling through the array of images under a character.

2. The ability to click on any of the individual images, once displayed, and cycle that single one so that the user can choose the best set of images that form their word rather than choosing a random group.

3. When you enter the word and press carriage return it would be preferable to load the images. This is in addition to having the existing ability to do it using the button. CR is what most users do when they have completed their word so it improves the experience.

4. On the clicking of a button toggle between Black / White and Colour images. For example, the ability to load say 10 images under character A and have 5 B&W and 5 Colour. If the user click B&W then only these types of images are displayed and obviously the reverse for Colour (this avoids having to have a dedicated page serving B&W images and another one for Colour).

5. Once a pattern of images have been chosen a (to be added) Buy Now button (or equivalent) records the specific images requested so that the customer know which specific ones need to be dispatched in the order.
