Infrastructure / Devops Engineer

We are looking for a infrastructure / devops engineer willing to work part-time to manage our Google Cloud environment.

Your responsibilities:

Manage cloud server deployments that have seen real production usage.
Manage data feeds, imports coming from customers, partners, review for accuracy, work with support to fix any inaccuracies and re-process them both in the database, solr index, and data pipelines.
Provision new environments, manage existing environments, installing security tools to monitor network traffic, log agents. Complete understanding of how to build secure infrastructure and an awareness of common server security vulnerabilities, install security patches.
Installing logging, monitoring tools for data pipelines, APIs, file transfers, OS logs. Produce automated reports on data pipelines and email them to dlist
Manage VPC networks, setup firewalls, VPN gateways etc.
Script and automate where necessary, python preferrable, familiarity with cloud functions
History managing a large database at scale, warehouses, API provisioning, monitor API usage

Youll be working with our existing deployments of MySQL, Solr, Java, Python, Data Warehouses like BigQuery, SnowFlake, and many other exciting open source systems. But youll also be free to deploy anything else if it gets the job done!
