SSO between YourMembership AMS and Moodle LMS

Im looking to set up SSO between your membership and Moodle.
Your membership would hold the master profile.
So wed need to use a unique identifier between the systems and if it matches then sign the member into Moodle, if its not present create a profile in Moodle.

More detail Im sure but Id like expressions of interest to get the ball rolling.

Particularly interested if anyone has done a similar project before.
