Repair an existing PHP script after updating MySQL from 4.X to 5.X

Hi, we have a little script in PHP that stop working after updating from MySQL version 4.0 to 5.0 so we need firstly to correct that on the code.

As extra we also ask for these checkings and addons:
1.- Review and correct if there is any warnings or errors in the code.
2.- Last thing will be to make us able to control the size of the script font (Only CSS).
3.- Any advice on how to improve the code will be nice.
