Facial recognition for analyzing when employees arrive and leave the office

I need a solution to register when my employees are arriving or leaving the office.

My idea is to put a camera inside the main door and another one outside the main door.
The system must read these cameras and save the timestamp with the person ID or unknown for each camera (entrance or exit) every time it detects a face.
Also we must have a database of known faces (employees database) that must be easy to maintain.
The camera is not defined yet but must be an ip camera with POE. I will share a github link with you soon once job award.
