Acquire X-Ray and CT Images

Help treat cancer without a medical degree.

Looking for individuals to acquire medical image datasets from local hospitals, imaging centers, and radiology practices, specifically frontal chest X-rays, with de-identified CT scans performed within 6 months of chest X-ray (preferred) or radiology reports. These images will be used to train computer vision algorithms that will assist radiologists in finding early evidence of lung cancer.

The acquisition and transfer of these images must comply with local health information privacy laws.

Phases
1. Identify and contact local hospitals, imaging centers, or radiology practices.
-Confirm and qualify institution has required data
-Facilitate execution of a data license agreement with institution(s). Participating institutions will be provided free access to lung cancer detection algorithms developed using their data, or can receive a license fee commensurate with local market conditions.
2. Acquire Data
-Acquire DICOM images from the institutions picture archiving and communication system (PACS) and radiology report from their radiology information system (RIS)
-Secure transfer the data (either by SFTP server or mailing on physical media)

Skills required
-Local language & English
-Knowledge of DICOM medical image format
-De-identifcation of data
-Previous experience working with local PACS systems to retrieve medical images-Knowledge and adherence to local health information privacy laws

Qualified individuals please submit your proposals, including local institutions that you intend to contact for Phase 1. Payment will occur at the end of each phase and will be relative to the number of DICOM images acquired.
