Barracuda Archiver 450 System Administration

I have a barracuda archiver 450 out of warranty, it works and functions ok. I have shell access, but it seems to have been acting up recently after a reboot. Load is high, and need someone with knowledge about this to see what process is taking up resources.

I also have a second archiver 450 server with failed drives. It boots up and I have access to the shell. If the drives died, is it dead forever?
