Solid state DC-DC power supply

Hello,

I am looking at designing a DC-DC power supply for a subsea robot.

The surface supply will come from a programmable DC power supply such as TDK Lambda which is capable of outputting up to 1000VDC.

The cable supplying the power can be from 200-1000m long.

The power supply will be submerged in oil and subjected to ambiant pressure up to 100 atmospheres. Because of this, it is mandatory that components used are solid state.

The cover for the oil filled enclosure is stainless steel and may be used as heat sink. Being submerge in water during operations, this will also help for keeping the components cool.

There should be 3 different outputs
1. 24Vdc- 3000W to be used for motors
2. 12vd - 500W to be used for electronics
3. adjustable 12 to 320vdc - 500W will be for auxiliary equipment. (motor/electronics)

Motors are brushless DC and dont require too much stability.
Electronics should have a stable output with as little noise as possible

What I have in mind is a DC Chop circuit with an MCU like a Teensy for control/feedback/diagnostics.

The voltage drop created by the cable need to be compensated by the chopper to maintain constant output.
