Needing to get help from taking a website design in Sketch and turning it into a Wordpress theme.

I need to turn a website design made in Sketch and turn it into a Wordpress theme that can be delivered to a friend. Flexibility with the theme would be preferred. I also need help finding hosting for the website and setting up periodic backups. Even just a project outline of what I should do would be appreciated. I have little development knowledge but would like to start learning, hence why I am starting a project for a friend.

Which programs I would need to be able o achieve my desired end result.
How to purchase a domain and have my Wordpress account connected.
