Configure, locally, already installed MySql on MacOS to already installed django framework

Im in process of learning SQL, Django and Python and need to configure MySql on MacOs so its running through Django framework. Im wasting too many hours online looking for solutions and not getting anywhere. I suspect the problem, based on what Im reading online is something to do with a pid file or configuration of a my.cnf file which Im not comfortable experimenting on.

My goal is to have a functioning local environment and Im looking for someone to set that up for me in 1-2 hours.
