Custom CRM Development - Filemaker or MySQL ?

Initially wanting advice as to which platform to choose to make a CRM system from scratch. I am confused and would like to know initially which is best Filemaker or MySQL with maybe PHP? and also the reasons (Pros and Cons) associated with each. Once I have enough advice I will hire appropriately. This is initially an advice seeking post to enable me to list a job based on whichever technology is mostly recommended.
