We have identified a number of problems in our industry:
1. Interior design is perceived as too expensive and 90% of people who spend on interiors products do not currently take any professional advice.
2. There are a large number of interior designers in the market who have excess capacity and would be happy to assist clients virtually / digitally for a fraction of the perceived cost of interior design - starting at circa project
3. Interior designers find it difficult to purchase online with trade prices - typically they have to open an account with a supplier, which can take weeks and then quotations are produced manually by account managers on a case by case basis. All this is extremely slow and inefficient.
4. Mid/high end manufacturers are always sitting on ex-display, ex-exhibition, cancelled and slightly damaged stock, ready for immediate delivery. This is a poor use of their capital.
5. 90% of interior designers surveyed have had difficulty in the past procuring quality (non off the shelf) products to complete projects on tight deadlines - the made to order items they use usually have lead times around 8 weeks.
Our vision is to solve all these problems through one, sticky portal.
We've just launched the FCILondon site.
We need a new front end developer who wants to take some ownership of the aesthetic direction.
Someone with UI/UX skills who has worked in the luxury sector and understands that audience.
Someone who will work as part our our team rather than just a freelancer.
This is an ongoing project and i hope to add more hours per month as we start generating revenue.
The current budget is month for the right candidate.
We will raise this as we begin to get revenue through the site.
