Dividing Ridge Genealogy assists families and individuals to branch out, build trees, unlock doors, and obtain information regarding their history and heritage. We also assist real estate clients with locating property information, provide assistance with heir research and skip tracing services. The current price is for a building and completing a family tree going back five or more generations, or multiple property heir research projects.

What seller need from the Buyer to get started?

A consultation regarding the needs or goals of the research. Access to information a client(s) already have such as a tree on Ancestry, MyHeritage, etc... Time to conduct research and availability from the client(s) to answer questions that may arise while researching. The cost of full service which includes a presentation of information, written report, and documents to back up the conclusion of the research will vary but normally do not go over $300.00.

What is freelance service?

Freelance service is any fixed contract service. Designing, tax filing, software development with no full time commitment comes under freelance service.

Do you do DNA research?

Yes. Keep in mind that while genetic DNA is popular, even it must be backed up with documentation and research to make it fact. I have assisted individuals who have taken DNA tests in the past and created a tree.

How do you Accept Payment?

Dividing Ridge Genealogy will issue an invoice via e-mail prior to the project and once completed. Clients are expected to pay $100 up front to begin services and to cover any database fees. We accept debit and credit cards, but not cash or personal checks.

How long have you been a genealogist?

19 years both personally and professionally. Dividing Ridge Genealogy was founded in 2020 out of the desire to assist families locally to branch out, and I have since then expanded upon the original vision of the services we provide.

What sort of genealogy topics are you familiar with?

What databases are you familiar with outside of Ancestry?

Ancestry.com is a great genealogy tool, but I have never solely relied on it to be the only resource for which I draw information for a client(s). MyHeritage, Fold 3, Heritage Quest, FindMyPast, and Newspapers.com are all a few other databases I have utilized and am familiar with. I am also familiar with various skip tracing software and TLO's for real estate and heir research.
