Required Wordpress freelancer for Developer needed to complete final steps of Elementor Pro design job

I have designed a single post template using Elementor Pro that I want to apply to a category of posts. I am having a hard time applying the template to new posts fitting the category.

Eventually, I would like to have a unique template for each post category but don't want to go further until I figure out why the template is not being applied to new posts of the category type.

I use Advanced Custom Fields to create fields for my posts. Two of the fields that I created will contain data from DONORBOX - one field is a javascript of a progress meter, the other field is a donation button. I am having a hard time getting these two fields to populate their values into the post. All the other custom fields I created are populating, just not these two.
