Looking to switch my job management from MS Access to Odoo Community Edition but can't quite get the configuration finalized correctly. Some workflow I do isn't matching up with what is available with Odoo. I am also looking for branding adjustments (adding my logo where appropriate and removing Odoo logos and remnants as the license allows)
I am at a small/medium metal fabrication shop.
The end of the project will have a configured project management base that manages Requests For Quotes and Sales, Quoting, and Jobs. This would include tracking purchase orders and expenses for jobs and hours logged per job. There is a few hard copies of documentation that needs to be generated at different steps of the process. And ideally there is some sort of job checklist at the end that the steps are all done.
Our current job flow goes: (1) Evaluating Requests for Quotes (2) Quoting (3) Job Management (4) Billing. I have an outlined set of steps and documents that go along with each step. I need to adjust Odoo to fit my work flow or I need to adjust my workflow to match what Odoo is looking for.
If we can configure the accounting end so that I can only use Odoo and can abandon Quickbooks, that would be better. I like the 3 document system and would like to have that configured as well if we can get this far.
The check to see if all of this is working will be if I can input the previous years jobs in correctly and be able to look back and have it make sense. I want to feel confident going forward before leaning on this for job management.
Any sort of email reading thing that can sort attachments or whatever would be great but that might be something I have to look at myself later.
