Looking for an industrial designer for a short-term project. Key experience would be in the outdoor/sport and fashion accessories industries. The product is a wearable device and an understanding of human factors and ergonomics will be an asset. While traditional industrial design training is preferred, candidates from other related disciplines (e.g. mechanical engineering, fashion design) with relevant experience may also apply. Please provide a link to your portfolio, if not already showcased on Toogit.
The project is a short term assignment to critique and help iterate the existing design team's work. You'll be expected to provide sketches and CAD to supplement the existing design.
What you've ideally done already:
- Designed with soft goods: fabrics, leather, and rubberized wearables
- Created functional/works-like physical prototypes
Bonus:
- You're located in/around the GTA, Ontario and are able to join us for in-person meetings
Please start your cover letter by answering in a couples sentences: who is your favorite designer/architect and which of their work inspires your the most?
