Telecoms Engineer required to work on BT's optical project

- and-on expertise and in-depth technical know-how of Huawei DWDM/OTN equipment ( OSN 1800 , OSN6800/ 8800 , Metro 6100 , and U2000)
- Experience of working on BT 21CN Transmission Network
- Precious experience of Installation, commissioning and Integration
- Experience of new wavelengths commissioning, optical power balancing, new nodes integration with U2000.
- Equipment and Fiber Testing Expertise in fiber health check ( OTDR , Fiber Doctor , Fiber Microscope , CD/PMD testing , OSA ) using EXFO FTB 720-C FTB 750-C, FTB 7600-E, FTB 5500, FTB 5800. Hands on EXFO Toolbox and FastReporter2
- Service Testing: Hands on expertise for PDH, SDH, Ethernet (1G,10G, 100G), RFC 2544, RFC 6851using a variety of test equipments including BERT, EXFO FTB-1 FTB-2, FTB 880 , FTB 88100NGE, JDSU MST 6000
- NMS: Huawei iManager U2000. New NEs creation, WDM Trails creation, Optical Corss connections, Optical power balancing, removal of nodes and replace with new subracks
- Experienced in customer-facing , technical and coordination roles
- Experienced in providing remote technical support, working in NOC & TAC environment under tough SLAs and dealing with fault escalation & troubleshooting.
- Experienced in network optimization, expansions, software upgrades and migrations of services.
- Experienced in working as project / delivery engineer and coordinating with implementation & operational teams.
