Social video editor

You will be in charge of social content - sourcing and editing fresh viral content for our facebook page ( 16 million followers).


What you will be doing?


- You will pick out 3 minute + potentially viral videos off the internet and repurpose them for our Facebook page. This can be magic related/ comedy related/ emotionally driven or potentially viral videos.
- You will obtain permission from content owners to re-edit their content and post to Magic Facebook page
- You will repurpose the content to be socially worthy - This will involve editing the video by adding watermarks, trimming, adding subtitles to ultimately create high retention throughout the video.
-You will title them, publish these videos, title them and set an appropriate ad point.


What do you need to have done before?

A social editor background with social media experience - preferably working within a similar role at a content organization or in an editing-heavy video role.
Excellent video editing skills using Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro or another editing software.
A creative individual who will be able use editing styles and techniques to improve trending videos
Understanding of storytelling and what makes an engaging, shareable story.
Experience of working on various social channels, and how to optimise for each.
Experience working to strict deadlines and targets.
