My solo project is currently running on AWS. Using Docker, GitHub, Semaphore for builds, and several AWS products including Route53, RDS, EC2, ECR, S3 and EB. My local dev flow is super tight. But my CI/CD has problems.
I'm not super excited about Semaphore.
I've got a couple specific issues with EB. Health checks aren't working. And I'm having a hell of a time configuring nginx properly.
Overall though, I've been disappointed by how difficult AWS is to use for novice dev ops users. It seems GCP would be less expensive to use. Also seems like their documentation is better, and their consoles are easier to use. So I'm looking for solid advice on which solution is best, AWS or GCP.
Lastly, whichever solution is decided upon, it would be great to have my app environment setup to auto scale so I don't need to worry about dev ops again at least until I reach the 10k+ user mark, or further if possible.
