We make natural rubber dog toys for large dogs and aggressive chewers
We're making the transition from ecommerce to retail, and as we are in preliminary talks with some big-chain retailers, we need to improve our packaging.
We are currently using backer cards, with the dog toys zip-tied to them. If, during the design process, you have a better idea for a packaging structure, we are open to different ideas.
We have already had some prototypes and been working on some dielines, but we are in need of some help and some fresh ideas for at least one of the products that we are having trouble with. This product is a solid rubber football (much smaller than a normal football).
So far with the prototypes, we have had trouble capturing the product without 'bending' the backer card (see attached picture), and also with the toy not begin secure enough in the packaging. With our toys being rather heavy, another issue we have had with some of them is being 'bottom-heavy', leading to the product leaning downward when hanging on peg-hooks. We are looking fora new dieline that will help us solve these issues and still work with our visual design concepts.
Ideally, we will send you a sample of this product and you will be able to help us design a fresh dieline for this from scratch, taking into account everything I mentioned above.
If you have experience designing and building custom packaging structures and can help us solve these packaging problems we're having, please reach out and let's talk more details!
Note: This is for the design of the packaging structure/dieline only - we already have the visual design covered. Est. Budget for the project is for 1 product/dieline.
