I need a simple threading mechanism for three components to come together and become water-tight.
The assembly consists of two identical glass tubes and three cork ends, two of which are identical. The parts need to twist and click into place, and there should only be one correct alignment when the parts are all assembled. It would be ideal if the parts only required a 1/4 of a full turn to click into the closed position.
I've done some prototype testing and it seems like the best solution is to add a threaded sleeve to the cork caps and to put threads on the molded glass. But I am open to hear suggestions if you think there are any better or cheaper alternatives.
I can provide CAD models and/or technical drawings of the unthreaded components. You can use these for editing them directly or as a reference.
As deliverables, I need CAD files and drawings of the three different parts (glass, cork cap, cork center)
